I'm trying to setup up a Windows 2000 Std Server to run the build in fax
service with a MultiTech MT5634ZBA-V92 modem. The modem supports V.34 and
should be able to give speeds up to 33.6. I tested this with a tool called
Classic PhoneTools (http://www.bvrp.com/eng/products/PhoneTools/) and I do
receive the faxes at full speed (28.8 in this case due to the limit on the
sending fax). Using the build in fax service on Windows 2000 Std Server I'm
limited to 14.4 for receiving speed
Does either Windows 2000 og 2003 support V.34? or can one tweak it to do so
in the registry?
best wishes
