I just recently encountered this problem with WinEx.... After I launch WinEx,
as soon as I attempt to click a Drive or Folder...etc.., it kicks be back to
desktop. This occurs only on my desktop and not on any of the others shared
by my family.
I can only access files and drives through My Computer. Any help would be
appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Erik,

See if the Event Log reveals something about the crash:

I ran the event viewer and I found one entry regarding windows explorer,
however the error date is a few weeks old and I just encountered the problem
a couple of days ago. As far as all the info it displays, I have no clue on
what it means.

Hi Erik,

See if a shell extension is causing the crash. Download Shellexview and isolate the context-menu handler causing the problem. More Information at: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/slowrightclick.htm

back to normal....for now.
Thanks for your help.

No problem, Erik. If it happens next time, download ShellExView and try my advice earlier.
