When I am in windows explorer it freezes for several seconds to several
minutes or until I reboot. When it is not frozen it moves very slow.

Hi Debbie

Could be a number of things, have you got up to date anti virus, firewall,
service packs, windows updates, spyware killer etc. We really need a little
more details here.

Also if on a network it could be a share or printer mapping that no longer
exists that is causing your PC to search for it each time.

Try this from a CMD prompt

type

net use * /delete

press enter

and answer yes to any questions.

Does the issue still exist?

Regards

I am up to date on all. I use windows 2000 SP4. I use AVG and Zone Alarm and
CA Anti-Spyware and spybot search and destroy. I typed net use * /delete and
it came back with There are no entries in the list. Did I do something
incorrectly? Thanks
Debbie
