windows explorer

when xp starts up windows explorer starts. if i do not
shut it and turn off my computer the start up again ther
is another copy of explourer on the desk top. How can I
stop this happening.

Hi Pete,

See if this helps for starters:

Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/View and uncheck Launch folder windows
in a separate process. Or run this edit:

Separate Process for the Desktop and Explorer (Line 62)
