when i click on the icons to browse my computer or to
right click start and go to explore the dialog box does
not open...it waits about 30 seconds and my desktop goes
blank and then restores..cannot get to my directories...

- A lot of problems with Windows Explorer (the desktop) are caused by a
third-party Internet Explorer browser component that is loading up and
causing problems.
To disable these:
- Open Internet Explorer
- Clear the checkbox for "Enable third-party browser extensions
(requires restart)" found in Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
- Restart
- You can also try repairing Internet Explorer
- If that doesn't work, try running SFC /SCANNOW from the Run box to
eliminate file corruption as an issue
