Hi,
I am facing a strange problem. I have a laptop with
Windows 2000.

When the machine is disconnected from the network, Windows
Explorer behaves normally. However, when the machine is
connected to the netowrk (the office LAN), Wndows explorer
behaves in a very strange manner.

In this case, when I start Windows Explorer and click on
one of the + symbols next to a folder in the left pane,
Explorer stops responding. If I minimize the explorer
window, I cannot restore it. Neither can I close the
application. The processor usage also shoots up to 100%.

The only remaining option is to kill the process from the
Task Manager.

Could anybody tell me what is the cause of this problem
and how I can fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
