I recently bought a new computer that is running XP Home.

On my previous computer I had Win 2000 and when I went
into Windows Explorer and selected the search tab I had
the option of searching for a phrase or word in any files
in the current directory and it's subs. i.e. if I search
for the word "function" in my .php files all the files
that contain the word "function" are listed.

If I do the similar process in Windows Explorer
("function" in the box listed "A word or phrase in the
file") on XP it never seems to render any results.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Nothing really. The search feature is definitely lacking.
See the link below to improve results:

You're doing nothing wrong. See http://support.telop.org/xpsrch.htm
