squon,
In some rare cases Windows Explorer will attempt a connect to a MS server
looking for updates (drivers). What IP is it trying to connect to?

It connects to every webpage i go to thru what i believe
are my proxy server's addresses using remote port 8080
whereas b4 internet explorer would connect me to the sites
directly and all i would see is remote port 80 being
used.WHen i connect to the net my ie browser opens but
does not appear on my firewalls application list, only
windows explorer does, something has changed how it is
suppose to opperate ..yes? and how do i get the iexplorer
exe. to open without windows explorer being involved?

it is connecting to everypage a visit via what i believe r
my proxy servers addresses using remote port 8080, where
as b4 the Ie would connect to the world wide web port
80,this might have happened after i installed then
unistalled full kazaa. i removed all the junk from when i
uninstalled kazaa using spysweeper and spybot

squon,
Run HijackThis and see if your "proxy" shows up
[example]
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings,ProxyOverride = localhost

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings,ProxyOverride = 127.0.0.1

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings,ProxyServer =

Go to: http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/
Download "Hijack This!" [freeware] or download direct (below):
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates: "hijackthis.log")

Next, go to the below location:
