We have a new Pentium 4 desktop and a new IBM R-40 laptop. On both of them, Windows Explorer has dissappeared. Clicking All Programs>Accessories>Windows Explorer and one gets My Documents. While a number of programs have been added to the desktop, the only programs added to the laptop were Microsoft Works (loaded on both) and an HP printer. We have tried System Restore back to an earlier date, but so far without luck. Any ideas on where it is or how to get to it. Thx, Lou

Perform the following:

1. Right-click on your Desktop and select: NEW > SHORTCUT
2. In the Create Shortcut window, type in: explorer.exe , and click "Next"
3. In the next window, type in: Windows Explorer , and click "Finish"
4. A Windows Explorer shortcut icon will appear on your Desktop.
