Windows explorer has encountered a problem

I keep getting this message every time I turn on my laptop. Whether I send error report or not it tries to close the system and then reappears. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix the problem.

computer specs
  • Operating System: Windows XP
  • Anti Virus Software : Trend Micro
  • Anti Spyware Software : Trend Micro
  • Connect to the net : ADSL wireless router

Can you get into the pc via SAFE MODE ? You do this as the pc boots up and you need to press one of the "F" keys not sure which one for your pc as there are variations.

Do as AB says try and boot into safe mode I think its either F5 or F8 to get into safe mode one of them will work. Good luck.
