Hi!

Whenever I try to access one specific folder in My Documents I am told 'Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close'. This is getting really frustrating as I really want to access these files! Why is it doing this and how do I solve this?
I have downloaded the latest windows updates and performed a full system scan with Norton AntiVirus 2005

Please help, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Sounds like a virus. scan the file you are trying to open with several anti virus progs as norton may miss one and avast may pick it up or vise versa

Thanks for your reply

Avast can't find anything either. It's strange, if I search the folder (folder called 'Converted Movies') and search for the most recent folder within the converted movies folder and then delete that, the problem goes away. But as soon as I add a new folder ther problem comes back!
Hopefully it would be unlikely I have a virus as I have only recently restored this PC to factory settings because of a virus!

Any other ideas?

The little blighters still lurk in the background:eek: even after restoring to factory settings.

I am not saying you definitely have a virus, but why when you create another folder it goes back to square one.:(
