Your Log is err, clean of malware ... not sure if you need all that poker stuff or Snoop

I've just uninstalled snoop.

A couple of weeks ago, I installed microsft NET.2 or something and then I uninstalled it and my comp started going crazy. I had to activate system restore via 'Command' as my desktop disappeared. After S/R I get this 'Windows Explorer error/needs to close etc...' 2-3 times a week.

You will probably need .NET both 1 & 2 for existing and future software ... one should install all updates from MS Update Site.

If all else fails, use Firefox. :D
 
can you post a link on where to download .NET 1& 2

Also, what is windows explorer? I never use Internet Explorer, therefore this error message always pops up whilst using FireFox

Click your Start button/All Programs ... now, near the top you should see Windows Update, simply click it. :)

I know where windows update is and there isn't any update available as I have the automatic update activated.

So, I guess that .NET has been installed if it is part of window update.

no need to guess :),,, ~ you should be able to view which updates were installed by ticking "Show updates" in Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
 
Also, this message keeps on coming up:
