Windows Explorer folder Information at bottom

I have a new laptop with WinXP Home addition. My test top had the pro
version and I can set it up like I did all my previous versions of Windows,
but I can't set up this home addition and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
When I view my folders and files on all my other computers, I can see the
folder size, number of files and, when I highlight files, I can see the
number of files and the total size. On this home addition, I have no
information at the bottom and I've tried every option in the folders options
to get it set up like I'm used to. Any guidance would be greatly
appreciated.
