Hi

I have an irritating problem that I'm sure has a simple
solution:

Windows Explorer has the folder bar on the left, right?
When I start it, (explore from My Computer) the folder bar
is there but it is greyed out and has no tree information
at all. Playing aroung with the viewing options doesn't
seem to fix this and I can't see anything in the registry
to do with this either.

Anyone come across this or know how to get the folder
panel working? Server is running Win2000 5.0

Cheers

Rainer

I am having the same problem on one of my Windows 2000
Servers. If I find the answer I will let you know. One
question I have is can you open Add/Remove Programs in
Control Panel. My server will not open Add/Remove
programs either and does not display any error messages.
I did find an article concerning that problem and I am
scheduling to perform the fix suggested in that article.
It talks about missing or corrupt files. My thought is
that this fix could also fix the Windows Explorer
problem. I will let you know what I find out. The
article number is 329862 and it is a Microsoft Knowledge
Base Article.
