Whenever I open a folder containing .avi files windows explorer pops up a
window saying it has encountered a problem and needs to close. This just
started a few weeks ago and only happens when dealing with .avi files. I have
windows xp pro with service pack 3 installed. I have multiple hard drives
installed and it doesn't matter which drive I access or which .avi files I
try to open, move, or delete. I get the same results with the window closing.
There is nothing wrong with the .avi files. If I receive a file as an e-mail
attachment I can open it from outlook express and view it with no problem. I
can also open nero showtime and play the files. Any ideas on how I can solve
this problem?... thanks.
