I have a problem with Windows Explorer closing all open windows without
warning and without displaying any error message. It seems to happen at
random when I am browsing one particular folder and/or it's sub-folders.

I'm running WinXP PRO and have checked my system for viruses and I've run
WinXP's filesystem error checking tool.

Q1: Are there any other filing system integrity checks I could run?

Q2: Would it be worth trying to copy this folder to a DVD, deleting the
original and then copying back fom CD?

Ok I've just discovered the Event Log. I explored the problem folder and
Windows Explorer closed. and produced this log entry...
