In my Folders panel in Windows Explorer, is there any way to avoid displaying
(under "My Computer") the folders "Shared Documents" and "<My name>
Documents" (same as "My Documents", which is already listed right under
"Desktop")?

Regards,

If your system is still set to the default setting to Not show hidden files,
you can rightclick those folders, and Properties, to put a checkmark in the
hidden attribute.

Ah, Mark, great. Will do so!

These entries are just two pointers to the same object. If you delete the
folder, it will disappear totally. However, you can hide it in 'Shared
Documents' by right-clicking on it, select Properties > Hidden > 'Apply
changes to this folder, subfolders and files'.

Iceman, thank you.

Sorry for the late reply – I must device a system so that I remember where
and what I posted here.
