Wonderiing why Windows Explorer will not bring up the second hard drive or the CD & Dvd drives. When asked for D: drive it goes into a search and stays there

Usually happens when there is a problem with the controller, drives or the
cables. Check that all connections are secure and that the cable is the
correct type (40 wire vs 80 wire, for example) for the hardware that is
being used.
