Hi there
You know when you open Windows Explorer, it always takes you to the
"Documents" folder?? I was wondering if there's a way to change it so that it
opens at another folder like C:folder_name?

It's annoying that everytime I open it I have to do like 3 or 4 clicks just
to get to that folder... and I never use the "documents" folder.

Thanks

It doesn't take you to Documents if you click Start and then click Computer,
Pictures, Music or whatever on the right side of the Start button. There it
takes you to whatever folder name you clicked on.

That's incorrect. I think you're talking about a different explorer.

I talking about the one located at Start >> All Programs >> Accessories...

When you open it, the default folder it opens is Documents.

I find that a shortcut with the target %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /n,/e,C:\
works. That means new window, expand focussed on the C drive as I recall,
but you can modify the folder path as required and add ',root' before the
path to see only a particular drive/folder and below. There's a space after
..exe.

Regards
Tom

Right click on Windows Explorer, Select Properties then add a location to
open to the end of the target.

Mine reads "%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe c:\" and it opens the root of the
hard disk.
