Recently updated my BIOS on an ADUS P5W Deluxe motherboard. Index previous
to updating was 5.1 as the processor was the lowest index. Now the index has
dropped to 4.7 as it shows the processor is the lowest reading. Anyone any
idea why it shoud have dropped?
E6400 2 Duo and not overclocked. Running Vist Home perium.

Thanks
John

How I wish Microsoft had not provided this index number! It is
misleading at best, and often completely wrong.

Do you notice any decrease in performance? Unless the answer is yes,
my advice is to ignore the number.

Thanks for the information. Strangely enough I uninstalled vista had a cuppa
and reinstalled it and low and behold the index was 5.1 how strange..However
you are correct in what you said I noticed no difference at all.

You're welcome. Glad to help.

Was that the only reason you uninstalled and reinstalled? To get the
number higher? That was a lot of work for such a trivial reason!
