Hi,

I have a Sony Vaio VGC-RA830G. I ran the first release candidate of Windows
VISTA on my computer and had an Experience rating of 4.3. I have changed
nothing on my computer, but now when I run the retail version my number is a
2.4. The category where my rating went down was the hard disk data transfer
rate. I have a 7,200 rpm SATA drive, what is the problem.

Maybe fragmentation? Try running any one of many "disk tune-up" programs and
see if it doesn't go back up.

LaRoux,

I have exact same problem. I ran disk defragmentation but no improvement.
I hope someone can help.

Hi,

Running defrag did not help at all, and I even did a clean install and
reinstalled no programs to see if it would help and it has not. It is very
annoying.

Have you tried updating the Score? Click Start > right click "Computer" >
Properties > under System, click the Windows Experience Index link, and
click the "Update my score" link.

No, in fact I have more since I did a clean install which took everything off
my computer.
