Windows Email, Vista

When ever I try to open an attachment on any of my emails, no matter what
type file extention is has, it locks up, goes Not Responding, whatever. No
matter how I try to open it. I have checked the security settings and
everything I could possibly think of but then I don't really know everything
there is by a long shot. can anyone help me. I have only had this New
computer for a month. Not sure if I like this Vista stuff or not.
 
Do yourself a favor and learn to File | Save Attachments instead of just
opening them from the e-mail.For some reason there are usually 99% fewer
problems.
 
Uninstall your antivirus program (McAfee? Norton?), then try
opening an attachment.
Install a different antivirus, such as the free AVG or Avast.
