The shortcut windows-e to open a new explorer window has stopped working. The
other shortcuts all work fine, just not this one. Is it possible I
accidentally turned it off? If so, how do I turn it back on?

Thanks.

If this problem is recent then try using System Restore to revert back to a
point when the problem wasn't present. Do not roll back too far.
Go to Start->Help and Support->Pick a task->click on the link to System
Restore. Follow the onscreen wizard prompts.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it made no difference. The problem only
happened a couple of days ago, and System Restore tells me that no changes
have been made.

I've even tried changing and resetting hte registry key, but it nothing works.

This is very annoying.

Thanks, Harry.

I gave it a try but it didn't work.

What are my other option? Re-install the whole Operating System? I guess I
haven't done that for about 8 months. :/

Try this little download from MVP Doug Knox

Run it and check the box to disable all the Windows logo keys. Reboot. Then
run it again and this time enable all the keys and reboot.
Unfortunately this is a blanket fix but will hopefully work for you.

I found the problem. It was conflicting with Extensis Portfolio.

Thanks for your help, Harry.
