I have XP Pro SP2 with an 80gb SATA drive which is almost full. Tonight I
installed a 160gb SATA drive and although the drive is present in the bios
details, and I can see it in My Computer/Manage/Disk Management I can't
allocate a drive letter to it and consequently I can't see it in My Computer
or Windows Explorer. The MB is an ASUS P5GD1. What do I need to do to be able
to name and see the new drive?

Did you partition and format the drive? If you didn't, you need to.

No, but I just discovered that I needed to, and I've just finished doing
that. All OK now. Thanks anyway.

Ken.
