with windows xp in outlook all i had to do was type the 1st couple letters of
someones name or email address and the rest of the address would blow in.
this only happens once in a while with windows mail. it seems to forget the
contacts. yesterday i typed a couple letters and the address blew in. today
same address and nothing happens? this happens with many of my contacts? can
this be solved?

apparently you have to use the same contact more than 2 times, also you need to type the first 3 characters of the names.

That's a known WM bug. The so-called autocomplete function
for contacts is very flaky.
Nice to see they fixed this in WLM.

This is another of the WM probs I'm having; and, I hate to tell you guys, but
typing in 3 or even 4 letters sometimes does not work. Supposedly, Frank
Saunders, of MS says it only remembers about 25 most recent names you used.
In my WM, it doesn't even do that a good part of the time.

To review my other problems with WM, and sending to new addresses, check out
the posts under WM; "Can't send in WM......"

thank you mari, gray says they fixed this in wlm, i'm not sure what that is?
i'm starting to think i should give up on wm. i like to forward to a variety
of friends. its just not practical to have to look up every individuals email
address every time!

I am not "with" MS. I do not work for them.
