I recently got a laptop, LCD screen, and windows display
settings are 120 dpi, then it expands fonts and system
icons 125% to offset the small rez.

Trouble is, IE is set to use windows settings, so it
enlarges everything 125%, making all images on web pages
look like hell. In the help file, under 'display settings'
in the index, it says to check a box in tools>internet
options>advanced tab to toggle this feature on and off.
However, that checkbox isn't there...

How do I turn off this 'feature', sans checkbox?

Any help would be so great.

Holmes.

Not sure what setting that would be. Closest thing I see in Advanced is to
use visual styles on buttons and toolbars but that's not going to help with
overall font size. I would use View> Text Size in an IE window to adjust
the display of text within the browser window.
