I tried using windows defender today, like I do every three days or so. TODAY
I GET WINDOWS DEFENDER UNABLE TO OPEN DUE TO GROUP POLICY!!!!!!! HELP
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP??!!
 
Please always state what OS you're & service pack and what
version of Internet Explorer? as it often does make a difference -

Also, could you supply some information on what your firewall is, what is
the installed antivirus/security suite, other R-TP programs, e.g. Spybot
Search & Destroy (reduced functionality called "TeaTimer") Avira (From
version 9) (Included in antivirus package), Ad-Aware, etc?

Something / someone change in the last 3 days or so.



It would be a good idea to scan.

I recommend downloading and installing
MalwareBytes' Antimalware (MBAM) and
SUPERAntiSpywaÑe (SAS).

Do a full scan with MalwaÑeBytes' and
SUPERAntiSpywaÑe.

Both free versions of MBAM and SAS are on-demand scanners and offer no
'real-time' protection. Keep them installed and use them as
'second-opinion' scanner which is purposely (by design) recommended by

System Restore
I suppose you could also try System Restore using a checkpoint from before
Windows Defender was blocked.

corporate setting?
Have you made any changes to your antivirus or other anti-malware
