Has anyone encounter a pop up saying a Trojan virus has been detected by
Windows Defender? It is a virus if clicked on.

It's malware even /before/ it's clicked. WD wasn't meant to detect
virus infections. If this has happened to you, I'd recommend an
immediate AV/MBAM/SAS scan.

Be very cautious. Do a scan with reputable antivirus tools--there are lots
of popups warning folks of virus infections that are NOT from Windows
Defender--and in fact, will result in virus infections if you follow the
links.

Hello Travis:

You have stolen the thread of another poster from over a month ago.
Good netiquette would have you originating your own post with good
working details about the system in question.

We will not need to know that the system belongs to anyone else and we
won't need to know that we need to hurry because you're in a hurry.

Please include the exact description/version of the reported Norton
product. Also, please change your user ID to "Travis" or the like and
good grammar & spelling will not hurt your cause. We will work with
thoughtful and polite posters.

Respectfully,

Has anyone had luck removing this? I currently use Symantec Anti-Virus v
10.1.5 Corporate Edition with all of the latest updates, and I still seem to
be having this problem. I've narrowed it down to this MySpace Social
Networking site that seems to be where this is coming from.

Joseph
