Windows Defender "Start Scan" error every time

When the messeage "you havn't scanned your computer in 3 days" is displayed
and says "We recommed that you schedule Windows Defender to scan your
computer wach day" there is a button and the end saying "Start Scan" when i
click this button a small box appaers with a red circle and a white cross and
says "Windows Defender encountered an error: 0x80070002. The system cannot
find the file specified."
 
This is a bug. You should be able to initiate a scan successfully using the
Scan choice from the menus, however.
