When I attempt to start Windows Defender I receive an error that reads
"Application failed to initialize: Ox8070002". My first attempt to remedy
this was to download the program again from Microsoft, but was unable to
install it cuz the computer claims I've already got a copy of it on my PC. I
can't see an option to uninstall it in order to re-install again. Any
pointers?

You might find a solution that acceptable to you.

If it was working before then you might want to do a restore back to when it
was working or possibly and upgrade over the top of the existing O/S, which
won't destroy the existing setup or programs in an attempt to see if
installing the O/S again over itself will fix the problem.
