Windows Defender hangup

When running a full scan, the program hangs at about 85% and just keeps
scanning and rescanning -- went on for 3 hours, so finally had to cancel. Of
course, when you cancel it won't tell you where or fix any threats it's found
during the process. Has anyone else had this problem? I've sent a message
to "contact us" but haven't heard from them yet, and I can't find a thing
about this problem anywhere on the site.
 
OOPS!! - Never mind -- I am reporting to the wrong group -- The program I'm
having problems with is Windows Live Safety beta program. Sorry guys :-|
