Windows Defender Version: 1.1.1051.0
Engine Version: 1.1.1303.0
Signature version: 1.14.1353.2
Windows 2000 Professional
I have ran into a problem when scanning my computer which I never had in the
past. When I open Windows Defender it says "You haven't scanned your
computer in 5 days." When I click the "Scan" button, the follow error
appears:
"Windows Defender encountered an error: 0x80004003. Invalid pointer"
This error only occurs when I do a full scan. This error doesn't occur if I
do a quick scan. You can click "Scan" at the top of the main page of the
program and choose "Quick Scan" to do the scan. Then you can do a Full Scan
and this will fix the problem. I hope this helps somebody else.
