I spent sometime in online chat with microsoft this morning concerning the
issue with being unable to update Windows Defender Beta 2, I of course
received the general response "Please understand this is a beta version and
there is no tech help for this tool at this time, please follow this link to
the "News Groups" and ask an "MVP" for assistance. I've read through several
of the suggestions, had already performed many of those same tips on my own,
at this time I've removed the tool from my system since it can not update
properly, and don't need the tool sitting on the computer wasting space and
resources since it no longer works. I shall return to the news groups from
time to time to read up on any progress made on this tool, the first beta
version was much more reliable and stable in my opinion
