Hi,
I recently installed the Defender to give it a try. What is troubling
me is the fact, that unlike the Windows AntiSpyware, I have never seen
the Defender popup with a warning or a user confirmation. On checking
it's history I notice that it intrecepted a number of software making
modifications to my system, but all have the action "ALLOW"
automatically chosen.
Why is Windows Defender automatically allowing all modifications? Is
this by design?
Here is an example of a software from my History, which it
automatically ALLOWed:
Description:
This program has potentially unwanted behavior.
Advice:
Allow this detected item only if you trust the program or the software
publisher.
