Windows Dead Slow

Hello,

While I'm just opening programs: (Sony Vegas, Photoshop, IE, Firefox, etc.),

The entire window takes longer to pop up to appear when minimized.
Also, when I want to move the window, it moves slower than usual.

This all began when I installed a game on my computer.
It didn't work, so I decided to uninstall it.

So, I alt + tab out. Then, all of a sudden, I go back to Windows and the
screen turns into a blank black, as if the screen was turned off.

Then, a few seconds later, the screen re-appears, but everything is about
50x larger than usual. Then, a few seconds later, it goes back to it's
original size.

Then, I go to move around and minimize windows, and it was so slow.

I tried moving the window around, and it was slower than usual.

I uninstalled the program and tried to run a system restore back to about 2
weeks ago when it was running perfect. But it said it couldn't be restored
for reasons I don't know.

This is not an old computer, may I add. It's about 2 months old. Not bad.

Someone, please help me.

There's a couple of things to check. First, do a power off and reboot, and
make sure it still has the symptoms. If so, then bring up the Task Manager
and look at the processes tab to see what's taking all the CPU cycles. It
might be some remnant of the game, or something it installed. Which game was
it?

Other things that can slow you down include Norton or other antivirus, the
Sidebar, the background Indexing, or other junkware that might have come
with your system.

First I would do is ,, Run disk cleanup and get rid of any files associated
with the game and also any other crap that is not pertinent to the system
and then restart your computer and see if there is improvement...post back
and let us know...just my 3 cents
