When I choose Windows Contacts I get an error message saying something like:
this file has no association with it, go to controlpanel and make
association? Any suggestions?

Control Panel (Classic view) > Default Programs > "Set your default programs"
link > highlight Windows Contacts and make sure it has all it's defaults.
(You may also want to set Internet Explorer and Windows Mail to have all their
defaults too.)

I have done what you suggest but without success. The problem still
persists. Any other suggestion?

I have found out that it works for other user accounts on the computer, just
not mine.
Anybody have some suggestions?

Hi Shawn,

I have done exactly as proposed but without any success so far. What I can't
understand is that Windows Contacts is working for other users on the same
PC.
If there is other suggestions please let me know. By the way, what is the
extension (file type) of the Windows Contacts? Looking forward to hear from
you.

Shawn,

Yes, I have had the same thought; but it will be a great work to do it.
Thank you anyway for your help.

Gudmund
