I am one of those who do not let the Windows taskbar
resting at the bottom of the screen... I find it in fact
most usefull to set it vertical at the left of the screen,
always visible.
Well, I know, most of the softwares behave like mad dogs
with that... Some will open a "Maximized" window
overlapping this area. Others will create their window
outside the viewable area (Weather Network applet) and I
have to reposition it myself by calling a CWnd->Move(...)
on this window.
But, the most funniest behavior is this Microsoft Spyware
removal tool! You know those boxy colorful messages that
should appear at the bottom-right edge of the screen when
there is a warning... Well, by using the taskbar in this
configuration the message appears at the bottom-right
edge, travels upward, and gets out of the displaying area
at the top-right edge of the screen. Eventually it reaches
some kind of limit and gets moving down, appear at the top-
right edge, move downward and finally disapear completely
at the bottom-right edge. This at a speed that allows me
just to see the movement, but not the content! Very funny
to a developper like me the first time it happens, but
quite annoying after a certain time!
Hopefully, someone from Microsoft will read this message
and fix it.
Have fun!
