Windows closing down

I open Outlook express and it closes. Sometimes immediately after it looks
like it's opening. Sometimes after I click on an eail to read it.

IE and one other program I use won't even open. They start to look they are
going to open but then just close.

Any help?

Thanks

****Thanks for the response.

I'm a stockbroker and the other program is the one which gives me access to
all my accounts and also the ability to put in orders.

****This looks like it could be helpful but Windows Explorer won;t openso I
can;t get to the store folder.

One thing that did help for a little but was that I went ahead and removed
IE 8, which left me with IE7. After that everything opened just fine and I
could work with them but the next day when I restarted up it had gone back to
not working.

Any suggestions will be appreciated

Thanks

Is your system error free?

Have a look in the System and Application logs in Event Viewer for
Errors and Warnings and post copies here. Don't post any more than 48
hours ago.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning
of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description
are important.

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from
Event Viewer.

What are your anti-virus and anti-spyware arrangements?

Hope this helps.
