When I click a link, a window opens and then closes immediately. I have
chosen not to block pop up windows for this side. What would cause this to
happen?

First eliminate any spyware.

Thanks for the input. I use AdWatch to get rid of spyware (along with
several other software programs) and found that I needed to change the
preferences so that it allows pop-up windows to open. This fixed it.
