To correct, install this patch: http://microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS03-026.asp If this happens again (say while you're downloading the patch), click Start, then Run, then type "cmd" and click OK. Then on the command line, type: shutdown -a This will abort the shutdown and allow you to install the patch.
