When I insert the disk and close the drive door, it acts
like it is reading the disk. Then it just stops. I
clicked on ""START", then "RUN" and typed "d:\setup" and
the following error message pops up: "DISK IS NOT
FORMATTED. WINDOWS CANNOT READ FROM THIS DISK. THE DISK
MIGHT BE CORRUPTED OR IT COULD BE USING A FORMAT THAT IS
NOT COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS."

please help ... by the way i also did a full system
recovery on my HP XT963 as requested by HP support to no
avail that did not fix my problem.. i have done
everything posted on web that i can find on this
problem...registry editing, uninstall's, you name it...i
really hope you all can help..if you can (you will be the
only ones i know)

sincerly, Jeff McKinney

Is this disk a copy of something else? Has this disk ever worked? If no,
it's possible the CD you copied was copy protected or is this a commercial
CD purchased through legitimate channels?

Hell man! You talking about a CD, a DVD, a Zip disk, a
floppy disk, an optical disk, a hard disk or what.

Nothin like being specific in your request for help. Do
you expect everyone to be a f***in mind reader?
