Windows cannot open file: msi????

I'm in need of some help and or advice. I am trying to install my printers software and I keep getting "Windows cannot open this file : setup.msi Nothing will open it and I do not know what this means or what to do. And windows cannot find a program to open. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
 
Right-click on the file and select "Install".
