windows cannot find network printer

I try to run the network printer set-up wizard, and after "browsing" for the printer all that comes up is Microsoft Windows Network, and nothing else.When I click on this it asks for my printer's name. I'll type the name of my printer, and I'll get "no printer found" or something to that affect.
 
Check your dns and wins settings under tcp/ip. if there are ip addresses
on either tab they should reflect the local lan, unless you are running dhcp
then there should not be any ip address on either tab.
