I used BootXP and used a screen that turned out to be horrendous. I want to
get rid of it, but I don't know how.

Also, I tried to customize my start button, but I've given up on that. Now I
have two explorer.exe. How do I change it so that I will only have one?

Most Boot Modification programs modify the Boot.ini entry for the default
boot os options.

Check your C:\boot.ini entry and see if any options have been added other
than /fastdetect.
Specifically look for Execute and Kernel entries.

These are located under the [operating systems] section in the boot.ini
section.

When you say you have 2 explorer.exe, what do you mean? By looking at Task
Manager?
Or are there automatically Explorer Windows appearing when you login in?
