I belived all the propaganda on at least three software manuals and a book I bought to help me with XP Professional. I tried to install an additional hard drive and lost the ability to boot from my harddrive. After several attempts at recovering I reinstalled XP to another folder. I don't want to reinstall all the hardware and redo my settings. How do I get the program to boot from the old windows folder.
I do have a backup copy of the boot disk before it was wiped out and a copy of the last good point before every thing went south.
By the way the help instructions didn't work of an automated revcovery disk.
