I would like to thank all that read and responded to my query.
I had been a user of Drive Image but lately I have had lots of problems-
like the backup becoming unreadable. I tried asking the new owner of Drive
Image (Norton) about that and they no long support the product so I'm not
going to use it anymore.

I started looking around for a good backup program but had no testimonials
to assure me any were dependable. I finally started looking at windows
backup but most descriptions were vague so I knew I could get some honest
answers here.

I did see Acronis but you guys say it's good so I might just get it.

Thanks again to all.

If you're going for Acronis, be aware that there has
been considerable controversy surrounding version
9.0, whereas version 8.0 continues to be reliable
(I use it myself and have recovered from a catastrophic
failure cleanly with it). In brief, version 9.0 seems to
have been released before it was ready for prime
time. You may have no problems with the later
version: experiences vary. If you want the least
bother, I'd say go for 8.0, otherwise join the forum
and read about the latest state of affairs.
