I am configuring an XP home edition of windows and for some reason all the
radio buttons and options on the Windows Automatic Update page are dimmed
grey. I think, but am not certain, that the buttons became greydout after I
registered Norton Internet Security 2005.
This happend to me on my XP pro and I used gpedit to fix the problem.
However I have read in other post that XP home does not support group policy
and gpedit.
What do I have to do to enable the management of the buttons. The account
that I am using is part of the administrator group. Is there a registry key
that I can modify. I know that I can change the time and day of the auto
updates in the registry but I would prefer to be able to do it from the
interface provided. It would be much safer
Thank You.
