Hello, thanks in advance for your help.
My problem concerns my VAIO laptop. I was having problems with it because
it had been affected by spyware and probably a virus or two so I decided to
reinstall windows with the system recovery discs (windows xp home edition).
Everything went fine and it all came back with only one snag. When I logged
on it told me I need to register my windows within 30 days. I clicked
"register windows now" and got back "your windows is already registered,
thank you." I don't have it in front of me so the wording is a little
different, but you probably know what I'm refering to.
Anyhow, this happened every time I logged on. After 30 days I get the exact
same message but now windows doesn't open up. Spelling it out, I say "yes
i'd like to register windows" and it says its already registered and then
reboots. If I say no, it says that I have to register and reboots. So i'm
stuck. I imagine this is a common enough problem but I haven't been able to
find it on FAQs. Thanks very much for any help you might offer.
Sincerely,
Ariel Stulberg
