Does anyone know of a registry hack or another way of slowing down the
animated windows (minimise and maximise) speed?

TIA

I don't know but times in windows are usually based on either the dbl click time or the menu delay time. Try changing those and see if it affects it.

It can be done with Powertoys for XP.
Free from Microsoft.

Did you read what I said. Most timings are based on either that or dbl click speed.

I've not heard of such a function. It certainly isn't a documented functions.

If you don't mean menu speed, why not just TURN OFF the Window animation and
not use it???

If i meant "menu speed" i would have asked specifically about such.

I asked about window animation speed; i have a very specific purpose for
wanting to slow it down ...... you don't have the answer then i take it?

Did you try the suggestions that David posted? I believe that, if it is
possible, these 2 items would be the only way to change that animation
speed.

Neither worked. Not to worry, an idea that'll have to be forgotten.
