I would appreciate if any of you can explain the following:

a) How to check if RPC Service is disabled or not?

b) How to check if ANNOYMOUS FTP is strictly prohibhited?

c) How to check whether patch is current or not?

d) How to check if Administrator login is not explicitly permitted?

Thanks.

How to check if RPC Service is disabled or not? Can't be disabled in an operable Windows 2000.

How to check if ANNOYMOUS FTP is strictly prohibhited? Check the security tab in IIS Manager for the FTP root.

How to check whether patch is current or not? What patch? You can check the Release notes for the various Service Packs to determine if the patch was included in the Service Pack. But most hotfixes (patches) have a name such as PreSP3#### for example which says this was most likely included in SP3. If the patch is still available it wasn't if it's not it is.

How to check if Administrator login is not explicitly permitted? Not sure what you mean here. Many services run under the context of the Administrator account. So if the Administrator was not permitted to login I doubt many services would ever start.
